Holly Bird has helped shape the modern printmaking community in Pinellas County through her artwork, teaching, and dedication to traditional craftsmanship. After a successful career in graphic design, Bird turned to printmaking under the mentorship of Stephen Littlefield at the Dunedin Fine Art Center, where she now teaches and introduces students to the art of relief and intaglio printing.
Recognized as a Roycroft Master Artisan, Bird carries forward the ideals of the Arts & Crafts Movement, embracing careful craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and the beauty of handmade prints. Her work, often inspired by Florida’s natural landscapes and waterways, reflects both her love of the environment and her background in graphic design.
Alongside Marjorie Greene Graff, Bird co-founded the 24 Hands Printmaking Collective, creating opportunities for artists to share knowledge, equipment, and creative ideas. Through her teaching, mentorship, and artistic practice, Holly Bird continues the tradition of passing printmaking from one generation to the next, ensuring the medium remains vibrant throughout the Tampa Bay region.
