School Field Trips

The St. Petersburg Museum of History welcomes school groups of all ages and grade levels. Bring your classroom lessons to life by leading students through various eras of Florida history. Tours and exhibits address state standards, helping connect museum learning to classroom goals.

Our guides help students engage with Florida’s past through story-driven, interactive exhibits designed to deepen understanding and spark curiosity.

School tours must be scheduled at least one week in advance and are offered Monday through Saturday between 10:00 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. Tours are available for groups of ten or more, with a maximum group size of about 30 to 35 students per tour slot.

School group pricing is $6 per student. One free chaperone is provided for every ten paid admissions, and additional adults are welcome at the regular senior or adult group rate. Payment can be made upon arrival.

Tours run approximately 35 to 45 minutes and include a guided experience through the museum’s exhibits. After the guided portion, students and chaperones may continue exploring the galleries at their own pace.

Teachers are encouraged to share curriculum goals or areas of interest when booking so our team can help tailor the experience to your class.

Group Tours

For more than a century, the St. Petersburg Museum of History has welcomed groups of all ages. Our guides help bring Florida’s past to life by leading visitors through both permanent and rotating exhibits.

Guided tours must be scheduled at least one week in advance and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Tours are available Monday through Saturday between 10:00 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. for groups of ten or more, with a maximum capacity of about 30 to 35 guests.

Discounted group rates are $14 for adult groups, $11 for senior groups, and $6 for school-aged visitors. One complimentary chaperone is provided for every ten paid admissions. Payment can be made upon arrival.

Tours last about 35 to 45 minutes and include a guided walkthrough of the museum’s exhibits. After the guided portion concludes, guests are welcome to continue exploring the galleries at their own pace.

Cocktails with the Curator

Schedule a private after-hours event and Museum tour for your clients, community groups, or friends! The evening includes a cocktail hour,  historic presentation, and tour of the museum’s galleries. Maximum capacity of 30 guests.
