Cuba – The Natural Beauty, Photographic Expeditions of Clyde Butcher was a traveling photography exhibition that showcased the work of acclaimed large-format photographer Clyde Butcher. The exhibit featured striking black-and-white images from Butcher’s expeditions across Cuba, documenting the island’s landscapes, mountain regions, coastlines, and rural communities. Through these photographs, the exhibition highlighted Cuba’s natural environment as well as the cultural and human connections Butcher encountered during his journeys. His work emphasized preservation, conservation, and the shared beauty of natural spaces across political boundaries.

Originally developed as part of a broader statewide traveling exhibit program, Cuba – The Natural Beauty brought Butcher’s immersive photographic storytelling to audiences across Florida, including its presentation at the St. Petersburg Museum of History, where it helped expand public engagement with environmental photography and international landscape documentation.
