Join us August 13 for “Tracing Florida Journeys: Explorers, Travelers, and Landscapes Then and Now,” which delves into the stories of well-known explorers who came to the peninsula and wrote about their experiences. From early European exploration to tracing tales through the twentieth century, the book follows their path, highlighting Florida’s ever-changing landscape to explore the state’s history and natural beauty.
Leslie Kemp Poole is associate professor of environmental studies at Rollins College. A fourth-generation Floridian, Poole is an award-winning journalist and historian and has authored five books.
